Form’It: A Creative Material for Scenography and Set Design
A patented shape-memory textile designed to transform immersive environments, performance stages, theatres and TV sets into unique scenic worlds. Easy to install, shape and reuse.
The Challenges of Scenography
In scenography, set design plays an essential role in shaping how an audience experiences a space. It must tell a story, create an atmosphere and transport viewers into another world from the very first glance.
Exhibitions, museums, theatre productions, film sets and artistic installations all require materials that can adapt to a wide range of creative concepts while meeting practical requirements such as weight, installation and flexibility.
Thanks to its shape-memory properties, Form’It can be shaped directly by hand to create unique reliefs, volumes and textures. Rocks, landscapes, mineral surfaces, abstract elements and sculptural structures: the material offers scenographers and set designers exceptional creative freedom.
Its lightweight structure also makes it possible to create large-scale sets that are easy to handle and integrate into existing structures.

Cinema – Film Sets & Audiovisual Productions
In filmmaking, creating a convincing visual world requires sets that bring every scene to life. Form’It provides production designers, film studios and audiovisual professionals with an innovative material for creating custom environments, from natural landscapes to spectacular science-fiction worlds.
On film, television and commercial production sets, its rock, mineral, wood and metallic finishes make it possible to reproduce different textures and create three-dimensional scenery. The shape-memory textile can be shaped directly by hand to produce sculpted surfaces, cover existing structures and adjust volumes according to camera angles and lighting requirements.
Its lightweight structure and ability to be reshaped are valuable advantages in film set construction, particularly when production teams need to quickly adapt installations between takes or different shooting configurations.
Applications : Film sets, shooting locations, films and TV series, commercial productions, fantasy environments, artificial landscapes and scenic backdrops.
Theatre & Live Performances
On stage, scenery must tell a story, support the performers and evolve with the production. Form’It enables theatre scenographers, performing arts companies and set construction workshops to create expressive stage environments without relying on numerous rigid or bulky elements.
From traditional theatre sets to contemporary productions, this shape-memory textile can be used to create textured walls, sculpted landscapes, imaginary architecture and abstract stage backdrops. Its three-dimensional surfaces interact with stage lighting to produce shadows and contrasts that enhance the atmosphere of a performance.
For touring companies and travelling productions, the material's lightweight structure, ease of transport and reshaping possibilities make it easier to adapt scenery to different venues. Form’It offers extensive artistic freedom to create original, versatile and evolving stage designs
Applications : Theatre sets, theatrical scenography, stage backdrops, live performances, contemporary productions, touring sets and scenic installations.

Case Study
Suite Branca – Grupo Corpo, Germany
For the dance performance Suite Branca, presented at the Stadthalle Neuss in Germany, Brazilian dance company Grupo Corpo wanted to create an entirely white stage environment evoking the vastness of a glacier. To bring this artistic vision to life, Form’It ICE shape-memory textile was used to cover the stage and create spectacular ice-like reliefs.Combined with the dancers' white costumes and carefully designed stage lighting, the scenery created an immersive atmosphere in which the performers appeared to blend into the landscape. The result: An original and striking stage design demonstrating the creative potential of Form’It for live performances, theatre and dance.
